Welcome to Butte United Soccer Club!
We are very excited about the coming year and we are looking forward to tryouts starting very soon. Our Club will continue with the legacy of our 30+ year history, while instilling the appropriate changes needed to compete with today’s game. With many changes comes many concerns and questions. We have an open door policy and encourage you to contact our Board of Directors to get accurate information to help better educate all your soccer needs.
In December, our Board elected four new members to our Board of Directors. Our new Board of Directors include Logan Tucker - President, Paul Neumann – VP Administration, Ian Byrd – VP Operations, and Jaime Wilhite – Treasurer.
With the new leadership, we hope to continue to improve our Club both on and off the field through hiring and training the highest qualified coaches and striving to be a professional organization that replicates the top clubs in our state and country. We are confident the decisions being made are in the best interest of the kids playing soccer in our community, while developing the Club to be among the best in Northern California.
On the field, we have recruited and selected some of the best soccer coaches in our community. Our coaches meet on a monthly basis to address issues and work with each other on a UNITED front. Our Board has allocated substantial funds to help further educate our coaches to develop their coaching skills every year. Through this continual coaches education, we are developing a Club wide training model that focuses on player development for U9-U14 and team tactics for U14-U19. This year, all of our coaches are being educated by the ACF Fiorentina staff and implementing their World Class soccer training techniques. ACF Fiorentina has partnered with our affiliate, NorCal Premier League, where they offer coaches courses with a scientific approach to the development of today’s youth soccer player. These courses are taught by Paolo Bonomo, who serves as NorCal’s Player Development Program Technical Director.
Off the field, we are communicating and learning from the top clubs in the Sacramento region that compete at the National level. These clubs are ahead of the game throughout the country and their organizations are run on a professional level. We wish to continue to form our Board with individuals who possess the experience and knowledge of competitive youth soccer with a passion to help develop our organization. Butte United is a non-profit organization 501(c)3; we are UNITED in working towards a goal of raising $20,000 through fundraisers and $30,000 through sponsorships and donations.
Our player registration fee is $180 while the cost for our new Nike uniforms remains at $120.00, which includes 2 tops, 1 Short, 1 pair of socks, warm-up top and warm-up bottoms. Through fundraising, the Club will provide each player with a Nike soccer bag as well. Each team has access to our storage, which we are adding to our already large assortment of goals and training equipment, as well as purchasing a set of Nike balls for each team. Butte United is the only Club in the area with light access through the winter, which allows us the opportunity to train and play year-round.
