Enrique brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to Butte United. Born and raised in the Chico area, Enrique is a product of Butte United Soccer Club.  Playing his club soccer in Chico he was able to foster a deep passion for the game.  At the age of 13 he was selected by the National Soccer Academy to represent his age group in some of the largest youth tournaments in the world.  At Chico High he was a 3 year captain and received All-League honors.  Chico State was the next progression in his playing experience where he played all 4 years and finished his Senior year with a run to the Division II National Championship game.  After college the Chico Rooks offered him an opportunity to continue to play soccer at a high level and in 2004 he helped them win a USASA National Championship.  

Since 2005 he has established himself as a professional coach end educator in Southern California.  Soon after his playing experience with the Rooks he decided to move to San Diego to begin his coaching career and complete his teaching credential.  Coaching at the College, High School, and Club levels in San Diego exposed him to some of the best coaches and players in the country.  He spent 6 years working in Special Education before completing his Single Subject credential in Physical Education.  He currently is a Physical Education teacher with Orland Unified School District and holds a National B License from the United States Soccer Federation.
